Do You Find Italian Films Cheap

I think the best film if not exceeds the expectation of the majority are the Italian films. One perfect example is the “Spaghetti Western”. Spaghetti Western are low budget films created and filmed by the Italians but artistically performed and filmed to the finest.

Over six hundred European Westerns were made between 1960 and 1978.[7] The best-known Spaghetti Westerns were directed by Sergio Leone and scored by Ennio Moricone, notably the three films of the Dollars Trilogy (starring Clint Eastwood as the main character) – A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a few Dollars more (1965) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)—as well as Once Upon a Time in the West (1968, starring Charles Bronson). These are consistently listed among the best Westerns of any variety.(source: Wikipedia). What could go wrong if the actors are Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson, these are two great actors.

One part of the film that makes every movie sensational is the Musical score. What is film without the music, nothing is great than having a backing music on film and even in life. Music adds life on every scene and makes you emotionally involved. It can make you jump on your seats to excitement nor makes you laugh, love, cry and even frightened. Pairing up with a great music score on film is one of the key ingredient to a successful movie. For instance Steven Spielberg and John Williams did a great partnership in creating probably the best movies of all time, but in this case Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone did their part and contributed the best artistic film and Music ever created.

So I guess italian film and Spaghetti Western wasn’t so cheap after all, some producer and film companies are smart enough to save up the cash and get big return and this is one of them. It’s like knowing the value of an Italian sports car and buying them in a very low price and resell them again. We are talking about $1.2 million in the making and approximately $25 million return of investment. A value of this calibre is an instant classic and a priceless collection to the people who has tastes and understands the art of film making.

Here’s one movie example created by Leone and Morricone. The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

(Italian: Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo, lit. ”The good, the ugly, the bad”) is a 1966 Italianepic Spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach in their respective title roles.[8] Its screenplay was written by Age and Scarpelli, Luciano Vincenzoni and Leone (with additional screenplay material and dialogue provided by an uncredited Sergio Donati),[9] based on a story by Vincenzoni and Leone. Director of photography Tonino Delli Colli was responsible for the film’s sweeping widescreen cinematography, and Ennio Morricone composed the film’s score including its main theme. It is an Italian-led production with co-producers in Spain, West Germany and the United States. source: Wikipedia
